About the Artist:

Jamie Primack is a Chicago-based comic artist, writer, and illustrator best known for her traditional comic art and fine art illustrations. Jamie’s the author and artist of the sci fi comic series BINARY STAR, and she also specializes in creating ink and metallic illustrations.

Jamie graduated from the first class at the International School of Comics in Chicago where she was taught comic art and illustration by award-winning industry professionals such as Jill Thompson, Dan Dougherty, and Douglas Klauba.

Inspired by her love of sci fi and horror, Jamie's artistic style combines futuristic technology with the aesthetics of gothic subcultures. She utilizes various tools such as brushes, technical pens, dried ink, white out, gouache, gel pens, and metallic paint.

When she's not creating dark, cosmic illustrations, Jamie writes and illustrates her self-published comic series BINARY STAR. The series has been running online as a web comic for nearly seven years and nineteen chapters. BINARY STAR, which tells the story of an interstellar bounty hunter forced to team up with an alien outlaw, has had two successful Kickstarter campaigns resulting in paperback and hardcover editions of the first two volumes of the series, including a second edition hardcover of Vol. 1.

Jamie's work has also been featured in a number of Lovecraft-inspired comic anthologies, including "Cthulhu Invades Oz," "Cthulhu Invades Wonderland," “Cthulhu Invades Neverland,” and "Cthulhu is Hard to Spell." She’s also been featured in various horror comics and anthologies as both an interior and cover artist. When Jamie's not working on comics and illustration, she works as a freelance artist, and travels to various comic cons, art galleries, and dark arts and oddities shows across the United States.

On social media, Jamie’s also known as a prolific cosplayer who specializes in highly detailed, handmade costumes and masks crafted from upcycled materials and electronics.
